Prof. Khan's Research Interests
Prof. Khan is an associate processor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Ohio State University. He also holds joint positions in the department of Computer Science and Engineering and the department of Anesthesiology in the College of Medicine. His research interests focus on Applied Software Engineering and Enterprise Mission Critical Distributed Computing. He is currently interested in Workflows and enhancing Web Services with emerging WS-* industry standards for designing distributed workflow enabled healthcare and eScience systems. He has also performed extensive research in theoretical and computational Physics. Prof. Khan is the co-founder of a four course Applied Software Engineering sequence shared jointly between ECE and CSE departments. He has lectured extensively on enterprise distributed computing and security in the USA, Europe and Asia. His projects have been funded by the National Science Foundation, Naval Research Laboratory, Office of Naval Research, Air Force, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Cray Research., Lucent Technologies, and Microsoft Research.
